TUC Propose a Ban on High-Heeled Shoes
High-heeled shoes are sexist and pose a health and safety hazard according to a proposed motion by the Trades Union Congress (TUC). TUC officials in the past have condemned high heels as ‘blatantly sexist’. The Daily Mail reports that union members said women workers should wear ‘sensible shoes’ no more than an inch high to avoid injuries and long-term foot and back problems.
