Economic Downturn is Boosting Smaller Restaurant Groups
As larger chains withdraw their expansion plans it is giving emerging operators the chance to blossom. A report into the branded restaurant sector by property agent Christie + Co, found that many of the UK’s leading restaurant operators have readjusted their business plans to focus on stabilising business during this economic climate as opposed to expansion. With this change in business plans it has allowed emerging operators to grow their business and their brands. The lack of competition for high street sites is also paving the way for developing restaurant chains.
